Plank Pose is a traditional part of yoga Sun Salutations. It is core-strengthening transition from one pose to another, and is a fun opportunity to have children look around the yoga circle and smile at each other!
Children can enjoy this balancing pose in our Basic Sun Salutation, or follow the steps for using it on its own.
Begin in Table Pose.
Step one leg straight back, and then the other.
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths.
Release your body back into Child’s Pose, or continue through your Sun Salutation.
