Balancing Table turns Table Pose into a core strengthening kids yoga activity! Children strengthen their arms and legs, as they stretch and reach for items they can put onto their table.
Some of our favorite kids yoga activities that incorporate Balancing Table are Pizza Party and Birthday Cake! Both are fun and easy ways to bring yoga into elementary schools, preschool, or yoga class.
Begin in Table Pose.
Lift on leg to be parallel with the floor, toes pointed behind you.
Lift your opposite arm to be parallel with the floor, fingers pointed in front of you.
Hold this pose for a couple of breaths, then lower your arm and leg to your mat.
Repeat with opposite arm and leg.
