Reverse Table

Increases core strength; stretches the upper body; strengthens arms legs and back; relieves stress; energizes the body.

Step 1

Begin by sitting on your mat, with your legs straight in front of you.

Step 2

Bend your knees, and place your feet flat on your mat in front of you.

Step 3

Place your hands flat on your mat behind you.

Step 4

Straighten your arms, and lift your hips up towards the ceiling. Try to make your chest and legs parallel to the floor.

Step 5

Gently relax your neck so it is in line with the rest of your spine.

Step 6

Hold this pose for up to one minute, then release your hips back to your mat and return to sitting.


For an added challenge, add some active movement to this pose! Try to keep your posture while you “crab walk” around.
