Strength Building

This challenging sequence gives a full-body workout!

Younger children will have fun trying new ways to move their bodies, while older children will enjoy building muscle strength and improving their balance.

Begin in Mountain Pose.

Step your feet apart and lift your arms into Star Pose.

Bring your feet together, and lift yourself into Tree Pose.

Repeat on your opposite side.

Step your feet together, raise your arms above your head, and sit back in Chair Pose.

Lower your arms so they are parallel with the floor, step your feet apart, and bend your knee into Warrior 2.

Repeat on your opposite side.

Straighten your leg, and tip your upper body into Triangle Pose.

Repeat on your opposite side.

Step your feet together, and let your upper body relax towards the floor, swaying in Ragdoll Pose.

Lower yourself so your hands, elbows, and knees are on your mat.

Curl your toes under, and press up into Dolphin Pose.

Lower your knees, and let yourself relax in Child’s Pose.
