There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover

Lucille Colandro

To encourage breathing and group participation, engage children to sing along with you!

For an added challenge, have children run through each pose at the last verse of the book!

The old lady swallowed a clover – now roll over!

The yellow daisy brightens the clover.

The butterfly rests on the daisy.

The bright red bird likes to glide with the butterfly!

Make the pot big enough to hold the bird!

Twinkle fingers to fill the pot with glittering gold!

The old lady swallowed a fiddle.

Put on your leprechaun hat!

Out popped a rainbow – remember to do both sides!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
