There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly

Lucille Colandro

To encourage breathing and group participation, engage children to sing along with you!

For an added challenge, have children run through each pose at the last verse of the book.

Gently bounce knees to fly around, wiggle finger antennae, and buzz!

Walk around in this pose to make the spider wriggle and jiggle!

Gently flap bird wings – remember to do both sides!

Say “MEOW!” to encourage breathing in this pose.

Raise the dog’s tail high to the sky – remember to do both sides!

The goat kicks around in the old lady’s tummy.

Say “MOO!” to encourage breathing in this pose.

Take a deep breath in, and blow out all the animal friends.
