Warrior Series

This series is an excellent time to make use of affirmations. While holding the poses say “I am strong” and “I am capable”.

You can incorporate this series into a lesson on Martin Luther King, Jr, to help children learn about inner strength and how to find strength from within.

Remember to repeat this series on both sides!

Begin in Mountain Pose.

Step a foot backwards and raise your arms into Warrior 1.

Lower your arms so they are parallel with the floor, and twist your upper body into Warrior 2.

Lower your back arm to rest on your back leg, and lift your front arm to the sky in Reverse Warrior.

Extend your arms out to the side, and press into Airplane Pose by balancing on your front foot.

Release your body into Mountain Pose.

Repeat this series on your opposite side.
